We are FSC® certified, but what is FSC®?
FSC® stands for Forestry Stewardship Council®. FSC® is an international non-profit institution made up of representatives of entities from around the world and is one of the only forest certification schemes supported by major entities such as WWF and Greanpeace. It is based on three equally important pillars: economic, environmental and social.
Forest certification seeks to contribute to the proper use of natural resources, presenting itself as an alternative to predatory forest exploitation. Certifies that a company or community obtains forest products, respecting the environmental, social and economic aspects of the region and to obtain forest certification, the company or community is evaluated according to the environmental, social and economic performance standards established by the Forest Stewardship Council - FSC®.
